The National Endowment for the Arts’ Office for AccessAbility

LEAD – Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability. LEAD’s
work is focused on: exploring practical methods for implementing accessibility

LEAD accomplishes its objectives through an annual conference, an
active communications network, and resources generated by the LEAD
network and maintained by the Kennedy Center.

founded in 1979, is a leading national civil rights law and policy
center directed by individuals with disabilities and parents who
have children with disabilities. The mission of the Disability Rights
Education and Defense Fund is to advance the civil and human rights
of people with disabilities through legal advocacy, training, education,
and public policy and legislative development.

American Association of People with Disabilities
The largest national nonprofit cross-disability member organization
in the United States, dedicated to ensuring economic self-sufficiency
and political empowerment for the more than 56 million Americans with
disabilities. AAPD works in coalition with other disability organizations
for the full implementation and enforcement of disability nondiscrimination
laws, particularly the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990
and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
